A mrita Rai is a prominent television anchor. She was the Executive Producer in Rajya Sabha Television, the official broadcaster of the Upper House of the Parliament of India. She hosted the show ‘Sarokaar’, which is a well-known TV debate on the issues of public concern. She is known for a controlled, assertive, yet a calm anchoring style, which is at great variance with the usual style adopted by most of the leading television anchors in India nowadays. She was also the ‘Output Head’ of the channel.
